My Big Beryl Adventure

For the next 6 months I'll be living and working from my campervan called Beryl, exploring the beauty of the UK and a whole new way of living life. Come and follow us on our adventures.

Throwing my business into a bag so that I can work from wherever Beryl and I end up, means that I’ve had to become a fully fledged technomad - with kit that will keep me hooked up and plugged in to my world online, so that I can run Screw Work Let’s Play Programmes and Challenges from fields, hills, mountains and seashores all over the UK.

Here is my mobile office:

  • Macbook Pro
  • Hard drive back up
  • Flip Cam
  • Camera
  • tripod
  • Mobile broadband dongleĀ
  • Broadband coverage map (to check that where I’m heading will let me plug into the web waves)
  • iphone
  • charged up iphone spare battery
  • 150 V car cigarette lighter converter - so that I can plug my iphone in when I’m on the move (not strong enough to charge the laptop)
  • 25 electric hook up cable so I can plug Beryl in at campsites with hook up to the mains
  • Skype - to bring my friends round the world straight into the vanĀ
  • Spotify premium to keep Beryl dancing
