Beryl goes to a festival…
I’ve spent a good few summer seasons at festivals. Knee deep in mud, dressed as a flamenco fairy, scooping out icecreams, whizzing up milkshakes or wrapping burritos. I love working at festivals more than going as a punter so when Petra or the legendary ChocStar asked if I fancied a stint on Jimmy (the van) at Kimberley festival, I was there in a flash of yellow and daisies.
It was one of the best festivals I’ve been to - small, intimate, mix of kids and hedonists, it rained, it shined, people just danced and had fun.
There is something that happens to the Brits in mud…they really, secretly, seem to love it.
Mud + beer + fancy dress + music = a happy Brit
Again…can you believe this is in Britain?! (Taken with Instagram at Stiffkey Saltmarshes)
This is for real…this is Norfolk…took me FOREVER to reach the sea… (Taken with Instagram at Stiffkey Saltmarshes)
Stayed at Stiffkey campsite - really lovely - thanks to Martin Dorey @campervanliving - Campervan Cookbook man (as seen on TV) - for recommending it to me.
